Day 1 Toronto/Markham ON
This tour takes you into the amazing world of Art that lies just outside our backdoor! First stop will be in Kleinberg for an afternoon visit to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. Renowned for collecting only Canadian art, the McMichael permanent collection consists of almost 6,000 artworks by Tom Thomson, the Group of Seven, their contemporaries, and First Nations, Métis, Inuit and other artists who have made a contribution to the development of Canadian art. After a guided tour, you are free to explore the exhibition galleries and perhaps stroll through a network of outdoor paths to the newly installed Sculpture Garden as well as the unique McMichael Cemetery where six Group of Seven members and gallery founders Robert and Signe McMichael have been laid to rest. Special exhibitions honour the Group of Seven and the 100th anniversary of the death of Tom Thomson featuring - Passion Over Reason: Tom Thomson and Joyce Wieland, and The Group of Seven Guitar Project that will take over the length of one of M ichael’s most honourable spaces. Later we check into our hotel for a two-night stay.
This evening enjoy dinner on your own.

Day 2 Toronto/Markham ON
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before making our way to the Art Gallery of Ontario. With a collection of more than 90,000 works of art, the AGO is among the most distinguished art museums in North America. From the vast body of Group of Seven and signature Canadian works to the African art gallery, from the cutting-edge contemporary art to Peter Paul Rubens’s masterpiece The Massacre of The Innocents, the AGO offers an incredible art experience. A guided tour will focus on the Canadian Art Gallery.
Your afternoon will be spent at the Aga Khan Museum, an amazing facility that offers a window into worlds unknown or unfamiliar. On a guided tour of the main gallery you will experience a vibrant educational institution with a permanent collection consisting of more than 1,000 objects.
Dinner is included before we return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.(B,D)

Day 3 Home
Today we visit the ROM, one of Canada’s largest museums. A guided tour highlights an amazing array of treasures on display. Expect extraordinary experiences as you explore how the earth and its cultures have evolved, and how the changes we face today will shape the world we’ll live in tomorrow. Included in your visit is the special exhibition “Spiders”. Midafternoon, we return to our starting points following a trip that has offered an insight into the incredible world of Canadian Art.
