“I loved it so much! This trip has inspired me to see the rest of Canada. You see that Canada is large when looking on a map, but you don’t really believe it until you see it for yourself! Please send me your tour catalogs, I would enjoy seeing the rest of Canada on a Hanover Holiday Tour!

A wonderful Trip and great vacation! Hotel rooms and meals were first class.
The basic Trip was well planned and structured to provide good coverage of the Province, its history, and livelihood of its people. I would recommend the longer version ( 12day vs 8 day ) as the Vikiing Trail is one of the most spectacular parts of the Tour. Local Boat Tours and demonstrations were also well organized. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the local entertainment that was provided along the way; we had a lot of laughs and good Nefie music.
What made the Tour really special, however, was our Tour Director (Jan) and Bus Driver (Randy),
both native Newfoundlanders, who had that special insight into the Province and its people. They were able to answer all our questions and provide those extra photo opportunities, etc. that were not necessarily on the agenda.

I just had some passengers back from your New England/Cape Cod. They
are in
the late 50's and have done many Globus tours in Europe. They LOVED
their
tour with you and couldn't get over the 'personal level of service' you
offered. They will highly recommend your company. They also mentioned
the excellent tour director and coach driver.
It is always nice to hear from passengers when they have some positive

Greetings, Joy, from sunny England
It seems a long time now since we were all at Paducah, though it's only just coming up to three weeks since we left you.
I just wanted to thank you so much for the care and attention you gave to all the details of our trip to Kentucky. You introduced us to some lovely shops, and other sights, including the Quilt Museum in one of the many Marions. I can
honestly say that I loved every minute.
As I think I may have told you, visiting the Paducah Quilt Show has been a dream of mine ever since I first started quilting, about 12 years ago. I have to say that I am delighted to have been on your trip.
Everything back in England seems much the same as it was when I left: my garden has grown a whole new set of weeds, and the trees are really green now. I can't wait to get a rotary cutter into the fabrics I bought
from Hancocks.
I expect you are ready to go off on your next trip now - I hope you enjoy yourself. And please say Hi to Ken next time your paths cross: he was great!!
Best wishes, and many thanks: I shall certainly pass your name on to any other Brits who are thinking of coming/going over. And who knows, maybe, I shall have another trip with you myself!

What a wonderful time we had in Philadelphia!! The whole bus loved it and I have heard nothing but the highest compliments for the service you gave us. By the first morning people were already raving about how fabulous it was.
I kept mentioning about your incredible gift of the "Cezanne and Beyond" exhibit. When I said it was a gift to us of about $1000.00 they just gasped. I said ... this is the kind of company we are dealing with. I also have made a formal announcement to the Toronto Watercolour Society and a miked announcement on the bus. So everyone is aware of your generosity. By the way, the Cezanne bonus was very very good - a crucially important show for all artists to see and one that will not be travelling out of Philadelphia. We were very grateful.
The whole plan was very well worked out. Staying in Philadelphia was the right decision. The opening dinner at the hotel was excellent - and in a private dining room. The final dinner at the Moriarty's Pub was fun and good. The stops made on the road were varied and good. Saturday night was spent in many different ways by different people but everyone enjoyed the chance to be free and wander. The Philly City Tour was excellent and we had time to visit two market/food courts - one on Sat. and one on Sunday.
One hitch was quickly resolved. When we stepped into the Somerville-Manning Gallery on Saturday there were NO Wyeth paintings! They had a nice show on but no Wyeths. While the gang explored that lovely little gallery Carolyn and I worked with the woman at the desk to find out where the Wyeths were and it turned out to be the Brandywine Gallery. It was only a few miles away and they would give us a good price cut. So we headed over there and it was magnificent. Everyone loved it and we stayed until closing time. The next day, after the Cezanne exhibit, several of us saw some more Wyeths in the American collection of the Philadelphia Museum. Apparently the "Helga" paintings by Wyeth are no longer a "collection" but have been dispersed and I suspect sold. So we did not see them and will not see them usless one or a few of them are loaned to a particular show.
The Winterthur Mansion and Gardens was popular with everyone. I heard a number of people saying they wanted to come again and spend more time.
Altogether I cannot tell you how successful it was and how happy the group was.
I would not be surprised if you have some bookings from the members for other trips like the Agawa Canyon trip. And throughout the trip I was asked where our next trip would go to.
I am guessing we should plan for Boston next and then back to New York City. I passed around a small photo album of our three previous trips and a list of travellers on the Philly trip and those who were on our bus who had also been on each of the other trips. From then on I heard different ones saying "I am one of the four trip people, I have been every time".
Thank you for your wonderful planning and attention to every detail. It was a fabulous trip. And I must mention too what a difference it makes having Carolyn with us - she makes the trip fun and interesting and easy. Glen, our driver, was liked and appreciated by everyone. He is calm in both driving and personality and he too had a lovely sense of humour.

Love this trip!! I've wanted to see the "old" parts of Quebec City and Montreal and this fulfilled my wish. The "walk on guides" were informative and Jim was great. Paul is an excellent driver.

We have certainly enjoyed this tour-have learned more about our own National Capital, especially the new War Memorial. As we moved into Quebec "Chez Danys" was a highlight, the mighty St Laurence, the Plains of Abraham-the whole city steeped in history- fascinating! Ste. Anne De Beaupre`-even though we are not Catholic and the history behind it was fascination. The sites of Montreal equally interesting. Thanks to our tour director.

This was the best trip ever, we have done many. What a wonderful way to see the east coast. We met new friends and lots of memories that will last till our next trip. Ken was our coach driver, this sure was tested on the Cabot Trail and David had lots of info. My favourite spot was P.E.I. which I'd like to retire there.

I enjoyed the tour very much. The tour guide and driver did excellent jobs. The tour was nicely balanced between organized activities in NYC and free time there for tour members to do their own activities. Manhattan proved easy to get around with help from our guide and driver and the logical numbering system of streets and avenues and maps carried with us. There is too much of interest to see in 2 1/2 days in NYC , so I hope to return to NYC in the future.

It was very enjoyable and educational. The many extra activities and events that were not included in the itinerary made for an exceptionally good trip. Jan's professionalism and knowledge of Newfoundland & Labrador are certainly an asset. The opportunity to try "Newfoundland" dishes at meals and meet and mingle with "The Locals" also contributed to the whole flavour of the trip. Excellent from beginning to end.
